Forestier sendromu foramen magnumdan sakruma kadar anterior longitudinal ligamentte kronik enflamasyon sonucu oluşan, dejeneratif süreçte ossifikasyon ile sonuçlanan bir hastalıktır. Bu hastalıkta yutma güçlüğü başta olmak üzere, sabah tutukluğu, boyun ağrısı, solunum güçlüğü, omurilik kök sıkışmaları ve omurga hareket bozuklukları olabilmektedir. Tanı radyolojik ve endoskopik muayene ile konulabilmektedir. Bu yazıda yaklaşık üç yıl takip ettiğimiz, Forestier tanısı konulan üç olgu literatür eşliğinde tartışıldı.

Forestier syndrome is a disease that results in ossification in the degenerative process resulting from chronic inflammation in the anterior longitudinal ligament from foramen magnum to sacrum. In this disease, there may be morning stiffness, neck pain, breathing difficulty, spinal cord root compressions, spine movement disorders, and particularly swallowing difficulties. Diagnosis can be established with radiologic and endoscopic examination. In this article, we discussed in the light of the literature three cases diagnosed as Forestier syndrome that we followed-up for approximately three years.
